This is the Autobooks workshop manual for the Opel Ascona A series and Opel Manta A series, it covers the production period from 1970 to 1975. The style is similar to the well known Haynes manuals and uses much of the same source material apparently gleaned from the official GM service manuals.

For sale - Opel Ascona & Manta A Autobooks manual - £12.50

All the typical servicing topics are covered; engine, fuel, ignition, cooling, clutch, transmission (including automatic), prop shaft, suspension, steering, braking and electrics. It is slightly smaller than a Haynes manual and measures 25 cm x 19 cm, the cover has an easily cleaned, thick plastic jacket to protect it.

As can be seen there is a stain or scorch mark under the lamination on the front cover. Otherwise it is in  good condition, with just the odd oily fingerprint here and there.

It is priced at £12.50, which includes delivery to a UK address. I can send to Europe or even Worldwide too, but please ask for a quote first as rates vary greatly between countries and are prone to rapid price fluctuations. Due to PayPal terms and conditions an item has to be sent by a tracked service to your registered PayPal address.

Original service manuals for classic GM vehicles are not exactly plentiful in the UK, stocks are very limited and I will not be replacing them, so don't hang about if this is what you need for your project.

This is the Haynes workshop manual for the Opel Ascona B series and Opel Manta B series. In true Haynes style, it has a rather fine cutaway drawing by Terry Davey of the Opel Manta CC or Combi Coupe version, also produced as the Vauxhall Cavalier Sportshatch on the cover.

For sale - Opel Ascona B, Manta B & Manta CC manual - £12.50

This particular version is a later version of the manual and covers the period from September 1975 to 1981 for the Ascona and all the way up to 1988 for the Manta. There are supplementary sections which cover later additions to the model range, such as; the 1.8 litre O.H.C. engine, 5 speed gearbox, fuel injection system and floating brake calipers.

It is in really good condition, just the odd oily fingerprint here and there, otherwise it is as clean as a whistle.
