Classic Opel Spares

These are the prop shaft for the Opel Ascona & Manta A series models with manual transmission. They are used OEM parts made by Opel; some years ago they were cleaned and painted in black enamel paint.
They will be suitable for the following applications:

• Opel Manta A series (manual) 1970-75
• Opel Ascona A series (manual) 1970-75

These parts are also popular with those wishing to convert the Vauxhall Chevette and Opel Kadett C series from small displacement engines to C.I.H. engine power.
Priced at £50, the price includes delivery within the UK. I can send to some European locations too, but please ask for a quote first as this could be quite a high sum due to length and weight.

This is a Opel handbrake warning light switch. It is new old stock part made by Hella with the part number 3439478 and a date stamp of 11/64.
I am unsure of the application, but with a manufacturing date of 1964 it could be suitable for the Opel Kadett A series. My research has shown that the same part has also been listed for some variants of the Opel Kadett C series and Vauxhall Chevette.

This is a passenger door window trim for the Opel Manta A series. This part fits inside the brightwork strip that runs along the door top. The original parts tend to become brittle with age and sun exposure, loosing their flexibility and looking unsightly.
Furthermore due to the frameless door design of the Opel Manta A series, a worn rubber trim will let moisture flow into the door and encourage the rapid formation of rust in the door bottoms. Needless to say, this can lead to very time consuming and expensive repairs.

Please note that in the close up image below the rubber looks patchy, but it is just a layer of protective wax. It can be wiped off with a cloth soaked in WD40 or white spirit to reveal the lustre of the rubber underneath.

This is an Opel steering joint, it is a new old stock part made by Opel, with the original Opel box and bearing part number 90112334. Preliminary research would suggest that it is for the Kadett D series or Vauxhall Astra Mk1, see here for a list with the corresponding part number.

Given the widespread sharing of parts between so many Vauxhall and Opel models it may be suitable for a variety of 1970s models, but the Kadett D series is the only one I have seen listed for this part number. However I tried a test fit with a spare Opel Manta A series steering column shaft and it fitted perfectly.
