So it looks like summer has finally arrived and it is now time to switch my winter tyres for their summer cousins. Rummaging around in the shed reminded me that I still have one spare Opel Rostyle wheel and tyre left in stock.
This particular example was the second spare for my old Opel Manta A series 1900 SR. This type of 5.5J x 13" Rostyle wheel was fitted as standard to both the SR and Berlinetta variants of the Opel Manta A series and has just four slots in contrast to the later design which had eight slots.
The rim is in good condition, there is no kerbing damage, rust or any of the usual wear and tear that you would expect from a 40 year old item. It has been resprayed at some point, it is not a concours job as there is a paint sag and the black has not been masked perfectly, however it is perfectly presentable and would look good on any vehicle.
The tyre fitted is a 185/70 x 13 Trayal branded item of East European manufacture with distinctly retro tread design. It still has plenty of tread, I would estimate it at over 6mm and there is no cracking or side-wall damage visible.
Although they were once common place, today it is becoming ever more difficult to find Rostyle wheels in the UK and they would be prohibitively expensive to import. This one is priced at £40 for a quick sale, the price includes delivery within the UK.
I can send to some European locations too, but please ask for a quote first as this could be quite a high sum.
Obsolete GM spares are not exactly plentiful in the UK, stocks are limited and I will not be replacing them, so don't hang about if this is what you need for your car.
