This is a reproduction Opel Manta A series tyre pressure door sticker. The original would have been mounted on the inside face of the (UK) passenger side B post, just below the door striker plate. As they are just a paper label, they rarely survive decades of use and multiple resprays.

For sale - Opel Manta A series tyre pressure sticker - £5

This reproduction label would make a nice period correct addition for a show car. It is priced at £5, the price includes delivery within the UK. I can send to some European locations too, but please ask for a quote first as this could be quite a high sum.

Obsolete GM spares are not exactly plentiful in the UK, this is the very last of my stock and I will not be replacing them, so don't hang about if this is what you need for your classic Opel.

These head rests are part of a set of salvaged seats from an early model variant of the Opel Manta A series. This style of seat has a much more sporty appearance than those found on the later cars. The vinyl has small ventilation holes in the centre sections and the leatherette has a very delicate grain pattern. The overall look is much more in the minimalist 60s muscle car theme, rather than the 70s saloon comfort theme.

For sale - Opel Manta A series head rests - £25

Factory OEM head rests were one of the many options available for the Opel Manta A series and similar models from the same era, although they wee rarely specified and are quite rare. All the seats could be fitted with head rests, the factory manual even gives the precise measurements to cut the seat in order to retro fit them.

These seat head rests may not be the original GM items (I recall the ones I had being a little thinner) however they are a very close match and will fit the original seats. They certainly look good, add a little comfort and protect against whiplash in the unfortunate case of an accident.

They are likely to be suitable for the following applications:
  • Opel Manta A series
  • Opel Ascona A series

Opel Manta & Ascona A  series head rest, a good upgrade

They are both in good condition with some very slight wear marks here and there. They would be an excellent upgrade to a daily driven vehicle, or even to a show car with a little more time spent valeting them.

The head rests are available for £25, UK delivery (excluding remote Highlands & Islands) is included. Europe and the rest of the World are possible, but might be expensive due to size and weight when packed. So please ask for a quote first as this could be quite expensive to do.

For sale - Opel Manta A series front driver's seat - £25

In the past I have covered many thousands of miles in this type of seat and found them to be very comfortable. Just don't jump in on a hot summers day wearing shorts or you'll need to visit casualty for third degree burns treatment.

Opel Manta A series front driver's seat, comfortable

These seats suitable were the standard fitment for many variants of the Opel Manta A series, including the Rallye, SR, and Deluxe models. In my experience, this style of seat is normally seen (in the UK) on those variants made during the 1970-73 period. The chassis number for such vehicles would usually begin with a 592 or 599 prefix and would correspond to; J, K, L and even M suffix registration plates.

It is likely to be only suitable for the following applications:
  • Opel Manta A series
  • Opel Ascona A series

Opel Manta A series front driver's seat, split in the seat back rest

This is the driver's seat (UK RHD) from the set, it is in fair condition, but has some issues described below and is ripe for restoration. As often happens with these seats, the foam cushion has deteriorated badly. This has caused the seat base to collapse and made the vinyl tear where it is has become over stretched.

There are a few other minor wear marks, a small hole on the front and the most obvious being a split on the back rest.

This particular seat has had a head rest fitted at some point. A suitable pair of head rests are available here if you are wanting an original equipment style optional upgrade.

This early model Opel Manta driver's seat is available for £25; delivery is possible within the UK. but will be expensive due to size and weight, it might also be possible to send multiple items via pallet. Alternatively I can arrange for a rendezvous around the Midlands area for cost only. Likewise I could meet continental enthusiasts in the region around Calais or Dunkirk, but please ask for a quote first as this could be quite expensive to do.
